How I Work.
Jakub Galczynski can propose design options based on an informed process and over two decades of research. Jakub focuses on an overarching design concept, community identity, and environmentally sensitive approach. Jakub has also supported more Client-led design projects with the simple idea that ‘ everybody knows something you don’t. ‘
Where I Work.
Jakub designs projects for mountain communities in southern Idaho. He has a home office in Ketchum, Idaho. This space allows uninterrupted focus on design work throughout the day and, at times, night. Having less overhead than a larger office has allowed fewer projects with greater design interest. Recently, two projects in design and managing two in construction.

01. Hourly
An Hourly Design Consultation provides access to professional Design and Drafting services without committing to all project phases. The service can be used for small-scale projects or to gauge the Design Process. Due to the nature of project unknowns, any remodel or interior project is hourly. An in-person meeting and site visit are required before requesting a Project Fee Proposal.
02. Full Service
Full Service is a long-term commitment to developing a custom home with numerous design iterations to hit aesthetic, programmatic, and budget goals. An in-person meeting is a good time to understand the potential project while getting to know me. What is the quality of Schematic Design to Construction Documents? An in-person meeting will include examples of Construction Documents. Jakub will also explain his Design Process based on the standards. :
- Project Feasibility Research (Site Visit, Restrictions, and Etc.)
- Schematic Design (SD)
- Design Development (DD) + Construction Documents (CD)
- Construction Administration (CA)
03. Independent Contractor
Not Currently Available. Design Professionals often need help for the duration of a project. The ideal team members might not all live in the same spot, so why limit yourself to location? Working remotely is exceedingly productive and a competitive way to run a design practice. Please e-mail or call if my skillset might benefit your team. I will notify you when I am open to help.

Galczynski LLC is a Residential Design Practice that carries General Liability and Errors & Omissions Insurance. Galczynski LLC does not work on Commercial Projects or Residential Homes over 5,000 sqft.
