Snow King Summit Observatory

Jackson, Wyoming

The Snow King Observatory was designed for Wyoming Stargazing, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Jackson Wyoming. The public observatory is planned to be built on the summit of Snow King Mountain. The Observatory will have a 20′ AstroHaven dome and a 1.0-meter PlaneWave telescope. The Observatory are part of a larger Snow King Phase 2 Master Plan. The Town of Jackson has concluded their review of the proposed plan with community input. The United States Forest Service (USFS) is currently conducting their Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The USFS decision on the proposal is expected in the winter of 2019-2020.
